What we can't do
We provide non-medical care, and we'd rather tell you the limit clearly than have you find it out later.
Our caregivers can remind someone to take their medication and hand them the bottle. They cannot administer medication, give injections, change a dressing or manage a catheter — that requires a licensed nurse.
If what your family needs crosses that line, we'll say so on the first call and help you find who can do it. Sometimes the answer is a visiting nurse alongside us, which works well and is often covered differently.
Dignity isn't a slogan here
Being bathed by a stranger is one of the hardest things about losing independence. Our caregivers are trained on the small things that decide whether it feels degrading or ordinary: asking before touching, covering what isn't being washed, talking about anything other than the task, and never rushing.
If a caregiver isn't the right fit, tell us and we'll change them. No fee, no explanation needed, no awkwardness.
