Ten years, and three very different views of the same question
I've spent a decade in the health field — in nursing homes, in home care, and in hospice. Each one taught me something the others couldn't.
In nursing homes I saw what happens after the decision has already been made. People adjusting to a room that isn't theirs, to a routine built around a building instead of a person. Some settled. Many never stopped asking to go home.
In home care I saw the other version. The same person, in their own kitchen, in their own chair, still themselves. The difference wasn't the level of care. It was the address.
In hospice I learned the part most people are afraid to ask about. How to sit with a family on the hardest day. How to be steady when someone is frightened. How to make sure a person is comfortable, and known, right to the end.
What I kept seeing across all three was the same gap. Almost nobody wants to leave home — and when they do, it's usually not about love or money. It's that no one could find enough help, fast enough, close enough.
I started Healing Hearts in 2024 to close that gap. Not a chain, not a franchise — a Brockton agency where the owner knows every client's name and every caregiver's schedule.
I started this agency so people could be cared for at home. That doesn't work unless the caregivers giving that care are treated properly too.

You reach me. Not a receptionist, not a form, not a queue. You'll probably be calling because something has already gone wrong, and you may not know what you're asking for yet — that's normal, and it's my job to help you work it out.
We'll talk about what's actually happening at home. Then I'll come out, meet your family member, see how they move through their own space, and build a plan around them. That visit is free, it takes about an hour, and there is no obligation at the end of it.
If home care isn't the right answer for your situation, I'll tell you that too. I'd rather send you to the right place than take a case I can't do well.
What owner-led actually means

Not a call centre, not a regional coordinator three states away. The person who assesses your family is the person who set up the agency and the person who hires every caregiver.
We say no when we should
If we can't staff a case properly, or if the level of care needed has moved past what home care can safely provide, we'll tell you. A case we can't do well is not a case worth taking.
Our prices are published
Every rate is on this website. No quote depends on how the call goes or how worried you sound.
We go where others won't
Plenty of agencies won’t drive out to Halifax, Plympton or Carver. We built our schedule around the towns others turn down.
Caregivers are paid properly
We pay at or above what other agencies in our area offer, pay for travel between clients, and pass holiday premiums straight through. Good care comes from people who aren't struggling.
Care starts fast
Most families are calling because something has already happened. We can usually begin within 24 to 48 hours, including straight from a hospital or rehab discharge.
